The mid-term meeting of the SiMaSeed project was hosted in the Radicepura botanical park. The event brought together researchers, teachers, representatives of public administrations, environmental associations, bodies managing protected areas and the Regional Councillor for Mediterranean Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries (Dr. Edy Bandiera). The morning interventions offered many insights into the importance of biodiversity conservation for all those participants who, for various reasons, are involved in the difficult task of protecting the environment and the territory. In the afternoon, all participants visited the Radicepura botanical park which hosts the international festival of Mediterranean gardens every two years dedicated to garden design and landscape architecture in the Mediterranean.
